The Kansas City Chiefs are back-to-back Super Bowl Champions. For the first time since Tom Brady and the New England Patriots won back-to-back titles in 2003-04, the NFL has a team that could become just the second franchise ever to win three consecutive championships. The Green Bay Packers accomplished the feat twice (1929-1931 and 1965-67).
The win also catapulted several members of the Chiefs team into rare company in NFL history. Patrick Mahomes became just the ninth quarterback ever to win at least three Championship games. Andy Reid became just the fifth NFL head coach to win three Super Bowls. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo became the first coordinator on either side of the ball to win four Super Bowls. Finally, secondary coach Dave Merritt won his fifth title as an assistant coach, the most in NFL history.
Is Any Kansas City Chiefs Player Living as Large as Tight End Travis Kelce?
Perhaps the most popular Chiefs player at the moment is nine-time Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce. Not only is he one of the best tight ends in NFL history, but he also is dating popstar Taylor Swift, arguably the most famous musical artist in the world today.
Now, Kelce is a three-time Super Bowl Champion and has a great relationship with an almost universally beloved singer. His relationship with Swift has made him more recognizable, which has led to many more endorsement deals that are putting millions of more dollars in his pocket.
Unfortunately, that level of fame comes at an unnecessary price.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Have More than Their Fair Share of Haters
Kelce and Swift have been the focus of fans ever since they made their relationship public back in September. Sometimes, that attention has gone to the realm of creepy. Soon after news broke that they were dating, Kelce had to move out of his new home because of fans randomly showing up.
Unfortunately, not everyone is happy that he is dating the 14-time Grammy winner. Some football fans were angry at the little amount of screentime Swift received, claiming that it was taking away from the game on the field (it wasn’t). In the same vein, some of Swift’s fans have been critical of Kelce’s behavior (being drunk at the Super Bowl parade, yelling at his coach, etc.) and do not feel like he is deserving of a relationship with her.
The effect of this disdain has, unfortunately, led to some false reports online.
False Reports Circulate that Kansas City Chiefs Star Has Been Arrested on Drug Charges
Over the last few days, there have been some viral videos claiming that Kelce was arrested. One false report indicated that he had been arrested in Las Vegas after a drunken encounter with police. Another stated that police raided his home and found several pounds of marijuana and cocaine.
Of course, none of these reports are true. Kelce has not been arrested. These reports are simply the result of online users looking for interactions.
