There was no shortage of action from Sunday’s primetime showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets. Of course, the fact that Taylor Swift was in the building made things a lot more exciting.
In the end, the defending champs held on to escape with a hard-fought 23-20 win in New York’s MetLife Stadium.
Taylor Swift Makes Second Straight Appearance for Kansas City Chiefs
In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Taylor Swift fever is in full swing in the NFL. The pop megastar is currently dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and by the looks of it, things could be getting serious between the pair.
Swift made her Kansas City debut last week as she watched Kelce and the Chiefs destroy the Chicago Bears. The Anti-Hero singer made her second straight appearance for the team on Sunday, this time flying all the way to New York to witness a much tougher battle against a formidable Jets side.
That’s now two straight wins for Kansas City with Swift in the stands. Could she be the team’s new lucky charm?
NFL Twitter Reacts
As expected, the mean streets of Twitter were buzzing hard yet again as Swift Fever took over Sunday Night Football. As it turns out, Taylor was not the only big-name celebrity who watched the contest. She brought a few friends with her, including Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, as well as Hollywood A-Lister Hugh Jackman:

More than a few fans out there could not help but take notice of how the NFL has been riding the Taylor Swift wave as much as it can. I mean, why wouldn’t they, right?

Jets quarterback Zach Wilson put in an inspired performance in this one, leading New York to what could have been a massive victory over the defending champs. Some keyboard warriors believe that Swift’s presence may have inspired the New York QB:

Not everyone is enjoying this craze, though. Some fans are getting pretty sick of all the attention on Swift, actually. They made their feelings about it abundantly clear:

Love her or hate her, there’s no denying that Taylor Swift is going to be around the NFL for the foreseeable future. I think.
