With the Super Bowl officially a week away, players on the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for their trip to Las Vegas, the site of the big game. After bursting onto the scene early in the season, rookie wideout Rashee Rice is one of the many reasons the Chiefs are heading back to the Super Bowl for a second straight season and their fourth trip in five years. Kansas City fans are not shy in showing support for their new top wideout, crowding the streets in a sign of support during Rice’s car trip to the airport.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice: Shown Love in Transit for Super Bowl LVIII
Per Rashee Rice’s Instagram, the first-year wideout was showered with love and support on his way to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. His neighbors and fans made it personal, with signs reading “Let’s go, Rashee” and “Good Luck, Rashee.” The 13-second video showed fans with posters on both sides of the street as Rice drove down the residential road. Rice added two heart emojis to his post, showing his love back to the Kansas City faithful.
Rashee Rice: Stellar Rookie Campaign
Rice, a second-round pick in last season’s NFL draft, starred with the Houston Cougars before heading to the Kansas City Chiefs. The six-foot-two speedster shined in his rookie debut, catching a touchdown against the Detroit Lions in the season opener. However, he played a more inconsistent role over the next nine games, failing to eclipse 50 yards receiving five times. In a late November win against the Las Vegas Raiders, Rice caught eight passes for 107 yards and one touchdown, the beginning of an elite connection between him and two-time MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Rice registered at least six receptions in all but one of his last six regular season games, catching 43 passes during that span. He accumulated 518 yards and three touchdowns on those 43 receptions. Outside of his team’s second-round win over the Buffalo Bills, the Houston product has played a significant role in the playoffs. He has 20 catches for 223 yards and a touchdown this postseason and will face a stout San Francisco secondary in the Super Bowl.
