The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles provided their first injury report of the week on Wednesday. The Eagles and Chiefs are set to play on Sunday for the Super Bowl at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The Eagles had a surprise pop-up on their injury report Wednesday.

Second-year defensive tackle Jalen Carter is dealing with an illness this week. The former Georgia standout was a limited participant on Wednesday and did not speak to the media as scheduled earlier Wednesday.

The Chiefs listed three players on their injury report, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Last week, the Chiefs listed Mahomes on the injury report for the same ankle injury he’s been dealing with since Kansas City’s 21-7 win over the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 15.

The Chiefs rested Mahomes in Week 18 and had the benefit of a bye in the wild card round, but he’s been on the injury report throughout the playoffs. So far, the injury has not appeared to affect his play.

Like last week’s projection, the Chiefs revealed the two-time NFL MVP was a full participant in practice.

Skyy Moore was limited in practice today.

Offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) was a full participant. Wide receiver Skyy Moore was limited due to an abdomen injury.

Moore’s limited ability on Wednesday is good news for his availability to play the Eagles. While Moore is not expected to play a major role on offense, the third-year receiver has been beneficial on Kansas City’s special teams.
