In an interview on The Drive on Audacy’s 96.5 The Fan, Mahomes shared his thoughts about these contracts and why they’re good for guys playing in the NFL.

Patrick Mahomes on How contracts are growing in numbers: “It’s all about pushing the game forward. The NFL is bringing in a lot of money and I want guys all around the league to be able to take care of their families for a long time because they’re playing the same way.”

Mahomes signed a historic 10-year contract worth up to $503 million in 2020, making it one of the largest in sports history. His deal was restructured in 2023, reflecting his value to the team and solidifying his position among the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL, underscoring his impact on the franchise.
