Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is widely considered to be the best player in the NFL after leading his team to three Super Bowls in five years.

Former teammate and Miami Dolphins standout wide receiver Tyreek Hill said the rings don’t matter and that he is a better player than Mahomes.

Tyreek Hill says the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes’ Super Bowl wins don’t put Mahomes at the top

Hill claimed in an interview with Kay Adams that the Super Bowl wins Mahomes and the Chiefs have acquired since Hill’s departure don’t automatically make Mahomes the better player.

Hill says that his accolades along with back-to-back 1,700-yard seasons make him a better NFL player than Mahomes.

Another factor that Hill claims makes his resume more impressive is his height. Hill says doing what he has done at 5-foot-7 or 5-foot-8 makes him a better NFL player than Mahomes.

Tyreek Hill was ranked ahead of Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes in the NFL Top 100 list

Much to the chagrin of many NFL fans, Mahomes was ranked as the No. 4 overall player in the NFL’s top 100 list. Of the three players that beat Mahomes to the top of the list, Hill was considered the best as he finished with the No. 1 overall ranking.

Many fans took to social media to express their outrage at the fact that Mahomes was ranked anywhere but the No. 1 overall spot, much less being ranked as far down as the No. 4 spot.

Not only did players from other positions beat Mahomes out on the NFL’s Top 100 list, but fellow quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens was ranked No. 2 overall. Jackson is coming off of an MVP season, but he failed to beat Mahomes with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

Hill was the first receiver to be ranked No. 1 on the NFL’s Top 100 list, which has been putting out rankings for 14 years. Hill had a chance to break legendary Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson’s NFL record 1,964-yard season, but he an ankle injury prevented him from doing so.

Still, Hill led the league in receiving yards with 1,799. He also led the NFL in receiving touchdowns with 13. Despite his historic season, many fans were upset that Hill was ranked above Mahomes.

    The 2024 NFL 100 top 4 ranks:

    2. Christian McCaffrey*
    3. Lamar Jackson*
    4. Patrick Mahomes**

*Had their season ended by Patrick Mahomes

    **Won the Super Bowl

    Hill’s achievements since leaving Chiefs:

    1. #1 NFL top 100 (1)
    2. Embarrassed by Chiefs secondary (2)
    3. Impregnated a Florida woman (34838392)

    Mahomes in same time frame:
    1. #1 NFL top 100 (1)
    2. MVP (1)
    3. SB MVP (2)
    4. SB win (2)
    5. Impregnated his wife (1)

    I think he’s OK https://t.co/OpawAwEUsQ

“Indisputably, Mahomes is a better QB. He’s had to develop a more precise, surgical game.”

Fans are attacking Tyreek Hill for saying he is better than Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

Hill has been under fire from fans of his former team for comments he has made about Mahomes before. Hill took to a podcast to claim that his quarterback at the Miami Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa, was more accurate than Mahomes as mentioned in an article from Arrowhead Pride.

“Obviously, like I’m gonna go with [Mahomes] as the strongest arm,” Hill had said at the time, “but as far as accuracy-wise, I’m going with Tua all day. I want it to hit me right in the breadbasket, just like I did in the Buffalo Bills game and take it 70.”

Hill is taking similar heat from the same fans for claiming he is a better NFL player than Mahomes. The heat is even more severe now that Mahomes has gone on to win two Super Bowls without Hill.

he’s acting like Mahomes doesn’t put up consistent stats as well💀

    TyREEK.

This is a smelly bad take.

    — Garage Gameday Sports (@GamedayGarage) August 12, 2024

    Hill needs to relax

    — ZP (@exitliq_) August 12, 2024

WHAT??? he’s out of his mind 💀

    — Optify 🦁 (@optifyy_) August 12, 2024

i mean… he’s ranked 1 in the nfl so he’s better than everyone, right?

    — Broward Bred🇵🇹🐬🔥🐀 (@FromRagsToGP) August 12, 2024

Hill and the Dolphins had their season ended by Mahomes in the Chiefs during the first round of the playoffs at the end of the 2023 season. A Super Bowl win for Hill in 2024 may not even be enough for some fans to put him above Mahomes as an NFL player.
