Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce is now a three-time Super Bowl champ. There’s no denying that at this point, he’s firmly established himself as one of the top tight ends in the game today.
As it turns out, the 34-year-old wants more — not only on the field but outside of it as well.
Kansas City Chiefs Star Travis Kelce Dreaming of Hollywood
According to Emily Smith of The Wrap, Kelce is already making moves to capitalize on his superstar status. Apparently, the four-time All-Pro TE wants to transition to a career in Hollywood. It’s not as if Kelce is planning to retire from professional football anytime soon, but it appears that he already has his post-NFL plans in place.
“In the shadow of his football superstardom, the 34-year-old Chiefs tight end has already set the stage to make his mark in Hollywood. Industry insiders tell TheWrap that Kelce and his team are considering movie roles, developing unscripted shows for the star, exploring comedy opportunities and pursuing product endorsements,” Smith wrote.
Kelce has also reportedly met with a “host of top filmmakers” throughout the season about a reality show that appears to be in the works. The Chiefs star is also financing and producing (at least) two movies.
The Danger of Dating Taylor Swift
Even before Kelce started dating Taylor Swift, he was already one of the most marketable players in the NFL. His recent romance with the pop superstar took his popularity to new heights.
Mayflower Entertainment CEO Ryan Schinman believes that this could be a double-edged sword for Kelce. He can, should, and has capitalized on the Taylor factor, but at the same time, a hiccup in their relationship could lead to catastrophe for the Chiefs TE.
“I do worry about one thing, the break-up. God forbid they break up,” Schinman said. “How they break up could be devastating to his branding career. Because she is the most loved superstar and has the most rabid fans in the world, when she feels wronged, the whole world feels wronged.
“If it doesn’t work out Travis had better strategically plan what his messaging is,” the exec added. Swift famously writes lyrics about her failed relationships in her hit songs. And her ‘Swifties’ wield huge power on social media.”
These two appear to be madly in love, though, and it doesn’t seem like a breakup is anywhere on the horizon. As such, there’s nothing for Kelce to worry about in this regard — at least not right now.
