The Kansas City Chiefs have already ruled out starting running back Isiah Pacheco for Sunday’s battle against the Buffalo Bills. However, the league won’t be so quick to forget about his disqualification last Sunday. Per ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the NFL and Roger Goodell expect to hit Pacheco with a fine for throwing a punch in Week 13.

Pacheco received the early boot last Sunday for throwing a punch at a Packers defender late in the fourth quarter. He finished with 110 rushing yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
Kansas City Chiefs Isiah Pacheco: Tossed Last Sunday in Primetime
Pacheco threw a punch at Green Bay Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter of last Sunday’s game. The Rutgers product threw a closed fist punch at the Green Bay defender, resulting in a 15-yard personal foul penalty and a disqualification. The Chiefs were pushed back from the Packers 35-yard line to midfield, resulting in a devastating blow for a team trailing by eight with no timeouts. Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes went just 2-for-7 with 17 yards after Pacheco’s ejection, leading to the team’s eventual 27-19 loss.
Pacheco: OUT for Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14
Despite evading a suspension from the NFL, Isiah Pacheco will not suit up for his team’s epic battle against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Pacheco popped up on the Chiefs’ injury report to start the week, with the team disclosing that their star running back suffered a shoulder injury in Week 13. He did not practice in any capacity this week before being shut down by the team on Friday.
Instead, Kansas City will turn to the duo of Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire this weekend. McKinnon is fresh off a double-digit touchdown campaign in 2022 but has just 185 scrimmage yards this season. Meanwhile, Edwards-Helaire should get the early down work on Sunday. The former first-round pick has taken 40 carries for 140 yards and one touchdown in 11 games this season.
