The Kansas City Chiefs fans who were found dead and frozen as their friend slept inside and didn’t notice them for two days has been one of the oddest mysteries at the end of the NFL season.
A stunning report came out regarding Kansas City Chiefs fans who reportedly froze to death at their friend’s house while watching the game against the Los Angeles Chargers in week 18. According to the report, the homeowner claims that he did not know that his friends were dead outside for potentially multiple days, which caused some major speculation amongst fans.
Ricky Johnson, Clayton McGeeney and David Harrington were at Jordan Willis’ house to watch the Chiefs face the Chargers. That was the last time Johnson, McGeeney and Harrington were seen alive.
According to the father of the victim Ricky Johnson, it is a possibility that the victims could have been drugged and left for dead. The father made this wild claim even though police made it clear that they were not treating the deaths as suspicious, and have not determined whether drugs or drinks were involved in the incident.
According to the original report, the homeowner has denied knowing anything about his three friends dying on his property after watching the Kansas City Chiefs game, saying that he was asleep in his home with headphones on and next to a loud fan. However, the father told Fox News Digital that his son was not “irresponsible” and would not have been outside without a coat to freeze to death.
I believe he drugged them, dragged them outside, and waited two days to call police. He may have done some drugs and stuff in the past, but I do not believe all three of them did drugs and fell over dead in that backyard. I’m not going to say that during a game he didn’t have some drinks. But he wasn’t irresponsible that he was going to go outside and freeze to death.
The mother of the same victim also spoke out, having the same claim as her husband, however, she noted that it was just a theory she had.
Seriously, these were responsible men. How do they go in a backyard and freeze to death, all three of them? Something that comes to my mind, this guy [the homeowner] wants to brag about how smart he is, he’s a scientist. My thoughts are that he concocted something and gave it to all three men.
Even with these claims by the Johnson family, the Kansas City Police Department is sticking by their original report that foul play was not suspected, and continues to await the autopsy reports. Do you believe that there was foul play involved in this incident, or was the original claim true?
Autopsy Completed For Three Kansas Chiefs Fans Found Frozen Dead
In February, the Kansas City Police Department shared the toxicology reports with the families of Johnson, McGeeney and Harrington. The reports suggested that “THC, cocaine and lethal levels of fentanyl” were found in their systems.
Two months later, the Kansas City community received another update on this situation.
Fox News Digital was told by a Frontier Forensics Midwest LLC representative that the autopsies have been completed. However, only the Platte County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office can release the results.
Essentially, the autopsy reports are being placed on hold since there’s an ongoing investigation regarding the deaths of the three Kansas City Chiefs fans.
The families of the deceased are still trying to figure out what truly happened at Willis’ home.
“If there was a person that knew what was in whatever they consumed that night and didn’t warn anybody, they should be held accountable,” Harrington’s mother told Fox 4. “That’s my fear, it won’t happen… it’s so hard not knowing anything – like not hearing anything.”
Hopefully, the families get some closure in the coming months.
