Andy Reid is preparing the Kansas City Chiefs for a huge matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night. One of the strengths of the Eagles that the Chiefs have to deal with is the defensive line. In a recent interview, Reid praised the defensive line of the Eagles.
Andy Reid on Eagles run defense compared to last year: "Well, they drafted a really good player. And No. 91 doesn't seem to get old. I'm not sure what you guys asre feeding him. But he is something else. Those cheesesteaks are working."

Kansas City Chiefs Andy Reid Praises The Philadelphia Eagles Line
Reid specifically calls out Fletcher Cox and rookie Jalen Carter. “Well, they drafted a really good player. And No. 91 doesn’t seem to get old. I’m not sure what you guys are feeding him. But he is something else. Those cheesesteaks are working.” It’s a funny quote from the head coach that shows how relaxed the Chiefs are about the big matchup. They know this is a big litmus test but the team has won big games before. Even if they lose, the Chiefs have a great chance at making it back to a Super Bowl.
Can They Protect Mahomes?
Protecting Patrick Mahomes is going to be imperative. The Chiefs offensive line has struggled at times this season. The Eagles have wave after wave of pass-rushers to throw at opponents. If Mahomes can sit back in the pocket, he will likely pick apart the weak Eagles secondary. If the Eagles are going to win this game, they have to make Mahomes uncomfortable and they have the personnel to do it. Carter has been a wrecking ball and Cox provides great veteran leadership.
Reid will face his former team again on Monday night. It is one of the best matchups of the year and could give us an early Super Bowl preview.
