Jefferson Likely to Miss Week 12
Vikings Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson is likely to sit for Monday Night’s game against Chicago. Jefferson, the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year, has been out and on Injured Reserve since he injured his hamstring on October 8 against Kansas City. Prior to his injury, Jefferson had 36 receptions for 571 yards and 3 touchdowns through 5 games.
Justin Jefferson Still Not Full Participant at Minnesota Vikings Practice
Jefferson has still not been a full participant in practice, only running full speed at certain points during practice. The Vikings will proceed with extreme caution with their star Wide Receiver. Minnesota has won 5 of their last 6 games since Jefferson went down with the hamstring injury. The Vikings will look to continue their playoff push with new QB Joshua Dobbs against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
Prior to their 21-20 loss to the Denver Broncos last week, the Vikings had won 5 consecutive games, launching them into playoff contention. Currently sitting as the 6th seed in the NFC, Minnesota has suffered several key injuries. QB Kirk Cousins was lost for the season with a torn Achilles, Jefferson has been sidelined for several weeks, and Cam Akers is out for the remainder of the season with a torn Achilles.
New starting QB Joshua Dobbs was acquired from the Arizona Cardinals at the trade deadline and has been a revelation since taking over for Cousins. TE TJ Hockenson and WR Jordan Addison have been the Vikings’ main targets since Jefferson was injured.
