On Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns signed a hometown talent as they look to improve their special teams ahead of the 2024 season. Per Pro Football Focus, the Browns ranked tenth in special teams last season. The Browns will want to improve there if they hope to make a deep run in the playoffs.
The Cleveland Browns signed a local cornerback
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Browns added a key player to help the unit in the upcoming season. The Browns signed cornerback Justin Hardee. Hardee earned a Pro Bowl appearance for his play on special teams during the 2022 season.

Justin Hardee played for Glenville High School
Hardee was born in Cleveland and attended Glenville High School, where he played wide receiver. Following his college career at Illinois, the Houston Texans signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He spent time with the Saints before signing with the New York Jets in 2021.
At 30, Hardee has played in 100 games and recorded 78 tackles during his NFL career.
