Julian Edelman, former wide receiver for the New England Patriots, recently voiced his opinions on the whole NFL refs favoring the Kansas City Chiefs rumors. After the Chiefs won against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game and made their third entry to the Super Bowl, rumors have been going around that NFL referees and officials are biased toward Kansas City.
In the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs managed to win the game with a final score of 32-29. In that game, quarterback Patrick Mahomes attempted 26 passes and completed 18 for 245 yards, scoring once. In terms of rushing, Kareem Hunt led the way with 17 carries for 64 yards, along with a solo TD, while Xavier Worthy defended with six receptions for 85 yards, scoring once.
“It’s apparent when you’re on top, everyone wants to try to bring you down. It’s a bunch of bull, baloney that the league is helping the Kansas City Chiefs. If you got a problem with it, go beat them. The refs aren’t involved in when you throw interceptions, when you fumble the ball, when you jump offsides, when you don’t convert third down or fourth down or third and fourth down, for short, four times,” Edelman said. “They can’t control that. If you want to beat them, go beat them. Don’t talk about it. Be about it. I’m so sick and tired of hearing people tell you say that about the Chiefs.” Julian Edelman said on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ on Tuesday.

Several instances where the Kansas City Chiefs seemed to be at fault were overlooked in the game. One of them was a dropped catch by Xavier Worthy which was deemed complete by the officials. Many have called out the bias shown toward the Chiefs, with some even going to put the blame on Taylor Swift.
Julian Edelman Thinks Patrick Mahomes Is Getting Closer To Tom Brady
On another note, Julian Edelman went on to discuss Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes, and who is the G.O.A.T. in the NFL. While Edelman did admire Mahomes for his skills, the former wide receiver also went on to admit that Brady had “three different Hall of Fame careers and was able to perform at such a high level through so many different forms of adversity”.
According to Julian Edelman, he has yet to see the Kansas City Chiefs go through any similar adversity and come out stronger. He also went on to comment that the true strength of the team will be seen when Travis Kelce and Chris Jones might not be present in the squad.
