New England Patriots: Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman React to Bill Belichick’s 24-Year-Old Girlfriend

Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been making headlines of late after it was confirmed that he is indeed dating a 24-year-old girl. The legendary coach is currently single, so there’s nothing wrong with him putting himself out there again, but more than a few folks out there have frowned upon the fact that Belichick is nearly five decades older than his current lass.

Two of his former players, Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, recently spoke out about their ex-coach’s love life, and the pair could not help but throw a bit of shade on Belichick.

It was Edelman who first brought up the subject in a recent episode of the Games With Names podcast. He asked Gronk if he had seen Belichick’s date, to which the four-time All-Pro tight end responded affirmatively:

    “He’s dating a 24-year-old – a very-good looking 24-year-old,” Gronkowski said (h/t Kameron Duncan of The Spun).

“… There were three things he told us not to get caught up in. Alcohol, [expletive]-holes and girls. Now he’s all caught up with the girls! We love you, Coach.”

Edelman and his co-host chimed in on the conversation by pointing out that Belichick is doing his best to connect to the “younger generation” — just not the way we all expected.

Gronk then reflected on Belichick’s holy trifecta, stating that at this point in his post-coaching career, the seven-time Super Bowl-winning shot-caller has every right to enjoy life to the fullest:

“Wait, he’s not coaching anymore,” Gronkowski said. “He can be in the trifecta,” referring to the three things he told his players to stay away from.

“Watch out, he’s gonna be blacked out, hammered every night now.”
