Former San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh made major non-football news this week in the midst of a public coaching search. Many fans are polarized by Harbaugh’s recent comments and actions on the controversial subject of abortion.
Former San Francisco 49ers HC was at a March For Life rally
According to Sahil Kurup with the Detroit Free Press, Harbaugh advocated for the Pro-Life movement during the March For Live rally in Washington on Friday. (The Washington Commanders have a job opening, by the way.) Harbaugh said people should have the courage to let births happen:
“It’s not surprising Harbaugh, a Roman Catholic, attended the annual March for Life rally, which marches in opposition of the practice and legality of abortion. Harbaugh has advocated in the past for having the “courage to let the unborn be born,” and he reiterated that stance Friday.
“Just have the courage to let the unborn be born,” Harbaugh said. “The testimony of so many here, including yourself, just so thankful and grateful for that. This is a great day for a march, it’s a great day for the sanctity of life, and it’s football weather, so let’s go!”
Fans are polarized by Jim Harbaugh’s statement
Many fans took to social media to react to Harbaugh’s comments on the right to life. Some fans were angry, and others agreed with Harbaugh. Here are the best takes on Harbaugh defending the unborn.

Guess we know his wife doesn’t have a say in their household. He loves controlling everything including women. Nice!
