NFL fans seemed stunned at the idea Colin Kaepernick could team up with his former coach, Jim Harbaugh, with the Los Angeles Chargers for the 2024 season. Harbaugh accepted the Chargers head coaching job on Wednesday evening.
Jim Harbaugh could hire his former QB
Mike Florio with NBC Sports suggested Kaepernick would be a logical candidate for Harsh to pursue. Harbaugh was interested in hiring Kaepernick as his quarterbacks coach when he was a candidate for the Minnesota Vikings job in 2022.
Harbaugh and Kaepernick have a good relationship, even though the two don’t see eye to eye on political issues. They had a lot of success together with the San Francisco 49ers. Kaepernick even vouched for Harbaugh to receive an NFL job for the 2024 season.

Kap is never viable in the league again.
He could be playing some of the best football of his career and the politics of having him will ruin the team.
No matter which side you fall on he’s far too polarizing.

The many comments so much in opposition to Kapernick, are allowing their political opinions to cloud the fact, he was successful NFL QB, who almost won the Super Bowl. He beat a very strong Green Bay Packers running for 167 yards, still a NFL record. He certainly has the credentials to coach a NFL QB. Will he be polarizing among the fan base, maybe but so what. Will he polarize and divide the locker room, I doubt it; football players, many of whom are Black, are generally more focused on football than the political views of the fans.
I’m a Bears fan. I believe Kapernick deserves a chance. This country is willing to put a liar back in office as a president. Kapernick didn’t deserve to be treated this way. Others have done way more damaging things . And just gotten there hands slapped. Move on people. Forward progress.
