The New York Jets got a huge, and much needed win over the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football this past week.  The win moved New York to 3-6 on the season, but more importantly, gave the team hope that they can turn around their season.

To keep that mindset intact going forward, New York made a minor change at on the offensive line.

According to NFL Reporter Aaron Wilson:

Jets are signing guard Zack Bailey to practice squad following a successful workout, per a league source KPRC2

The 6’6″ University of South Carolina alum spent the last two seasons with the Chargers and previously played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts, and Minnesota Vikings.

As a versatile offensive lineman, Bailey will likely serve as a useful depth piece. Bailey is vying for a backup role on a completely revamped offensive line, however, with Aaron Rodgers’ protection being one of the most important things on the field, getting the best starting five out there is crucial.
