Carolina Panthers’ Bryce Young has been consistently included in a lot of trade rumors after being benched for Andy Dalton. According to an NFL analysis, though, the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans are two teams that will possible trade for the young quarterback.

The Panthers are reportedly receiving trade inquiries about Young, the former No. 1 overall pick. Despite the team’s struggles this season, with a current record of 1-7, some NFL teams believe Young still possesses significant potential. His challenges in the league thus far include a dismal 2-19 career record, raising concerns about his development in a struggling franchise.

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, multiple teams have reached out to the Panthers regarding Young, but the organization is not considering moving him during the season. The Panthers are encouraged by his recent improvements and commitment, especially following his return to the field last week. NFL executives speculate that if Carolina decides to trade him, waiting until the offseason might yield a better deal.

Critics point out Young’s physical limitations, particularly his height, but history shows that shorter quarterbacks can still succeed. The Panthers’ current situation is challenging for any young quarterback, making it difficult for him to thrive under such pressure. As the season progresses, the Panthers face a critical decision regarding Young’s future.

While trading him might seem appealing, continuing to develop him could ultimately be the wiser choice, especially given the investment they made in drafting him. The ongoing discussions around his potential trade highlight the uncertainty surrounding the Panthers and their plans for rebuilding in the coming seasons.

If ever Carolina lets go of Young, there are several teams waiting to pounce on the young quarterback. According to an NFL analysis done by Kristopher Knox for Bleacher Report, these are the Jets and Titans.

The teams most interested in Young will likely be those without a defined long-term quarterback plan. The New York Jets, for example, need to find a successor to Aaron Rodgers—quite possibly before the start of next season.

The Titans could also have interest in a quarterback like Young. They’ve been trying to make things work with 2023 second-round pick Will Levis, but the results, to this point, have been disappointing.

A team like Tennessee could view Young as an appealing alternative to drafting another quarterback in 2025.

As the NFL trade deadline approaches, Young has been a focal point for potential trades. Despite his struggles and the Carolina Panthers’ poor performance this season, teams are intrigued by his untapped potential and favorable contract, which has two years remaining.

Executives believe that a change in environment could help him thrive. While the Panthers currently seem inclined to keep him, interest from teams like the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans highlights Young’s ongoing appeal as a developmental quarterback. His future remains uncertain, but possibilities abound.
