A former Dallas Cowboys linebacker signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 9. The 3-5 Raiders made big news this week when they fired general manager Dave Ziegler and head coach Josh McDaniels.
Interim head coach Antonio Pierce is now tasked with getting the roster ready for the New York Giants. Pierce needed to add to the linebacker position as the team has several battling injuries in Week 9.
Former Dallas Cowboys LB signs with Raiders
Pierce added a player the Giants have familiarity facing. According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Raiders signed linebacker Jaylon Smith on Thursday.

The Cowboys drafted Smith in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He made the Pro Bowl for the 2019 season. Smith has spent time with the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, and New Orleans Saints.
Smith has 11 sacks and six forced fumbles in his career.
