Jayden Daniels, quarterback for the Washington Commanders, was too happy for his friend, Marquinhos, after his football team, PSG, won the Champions League finals against Inter Milan. On Saturday, PSG squashed Inter Milan with a whopping 5-0, bringing home the Champions League trophy in style. Daniels took time to share a congratulatory post for Marquinhos, whose defense was one of the leading factors for PSG’s win.
Daniels, although busy with his preparation for the upcoming NFL season with the Commanders, seems to be a soccer lover as well. Just like millions of fans around the world, Daniels was also in awe as the PSG team chalked up the biggest win in the history of the Champions League.
“congrats to my guy (Marquinhos) and (PSG) for bringing home the trophy!!” Jayden Daniels captioned his Instagram post, sharing a picture of himself and Marquinhos standing on a soccer field.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels is currently gearing up for his second season with the Washington Commanders after joining the team last year. Daniels was selected by the Commanders as the second pick in the very first round of the 2024 NFL draft and has already proved himself as a worthy QB1 for the team.

In his rookie season with Washington, Daniels won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year title, after throwing for an impressive 3,568 yards, scoring 25 touchdowns, while managing nine interceptions for the team.
Jayden Daniels Opens Up On ‘Bond’ Shared With Terry McLaurin
Last week, Jayden Daniels spoke to reporters after the team’s OTAs, in which wide receiver Terry McLaurin was notably absent. After rumors started spreading that there were tensions between McLaurin and the Commanders as a result of his contract, Daniels shut these down and clarified that the player was definitely training to be part of the roster for the forthcoming NFL season.

Terry McLaurin has been with the Washington Commanders since 2019 and is in the final year of his current contract with the team. Analysts and football lovers are speculating that the player is eager to score another juicy deal with the team and is therefore sitting out the voluntary team activities to bring some attention to himself.

The Washington Commanders will definitely not allow McLaurin to be released so quickly as the team leans on him even more in the upcoming NFL season. The Commanders will be kicking off their 2025 NFL season with a matchup against the New York Giants in the first week of September.
