Golden State Warriors Star Player Steph Curry and New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson got compared by a two-time Super Bowl champion and former NFL running back.

In one recent episode of “The Facility,” former NFL running back and two-time Super Bowl champion LeSean McCoy got honest about his take on a hypothetical o1-on-1 between Steph Curry and Jalen Brunson.

“This might not be popular becuase I’m a Steph Curry fan, but I would say 1 on 1, I think (Jalen) Brunson scores better than Steph 1-on-1,” McCoy said. “But what I’m saying is, when you got the right team, the stucture, now Steph can be Steph.”

Steph Curry is widely regarded as one of the greatest three-point shooters in NBA history, averaging 3.9 made threes per game with a 42.6% shooting percentage throughout his career.

In contrast, Jalen Brunson, while an efficient scorer, averages 1.5 made threes per game with a 39.1% shooting percentage, making him a solid but less prolific shooter from beyond the arc. Curry’s ability to shoot from deep at a high volume and efficiency sets him apart, whereas Brunson relies more on mid-range scoring and driving to the basket.

Steph Curry Admits Wanting to Be a Golfer Post-NBA

Steph Curry has long been known for his dominance on the basketball court, but he is already planning his next challenge once his NBA career comes to an end. The Golden State Warriors star recently revealed in an interview with CNBC Sport that he hopes to compete professionally in golf, specifically aiming for the PGA Tour Champions.

“That would be a fun goal to go after for sure,” the guard told CNBC of Champions. “It’s an extremely challenging tour to crack if you’re not one of the champion ex-PGA guys that are making that jump after you turn 50. So to do all the qualifying journey and all that—I’m pretty sure I’ll try it. I’ve seen guys who are preparing themselves to do the same thing.”

Curry, an avid golfer, has participated in several high-profile tournaments, including the 2023 American Century Championship, which he won. He also played in the 2025 Workday Golden Bear Pro-Am, further showcasing his passion for the sport. While transitioning to professional golf is a difficult feat, Curry expressed confidence in his ability to take on the challenge.

Whether he ultimately succeeds in making the transition remains to be seen, but his determination and love for the game make it an exciting possibility. Steph Curry’s future in golf could be just as thrilling as his historic basketball career.
