If you ask any NFL fan who is the most beloved center in the league, they will almost immediately answer Jason Kelce.
The long-time Philadelphia Eagles center is one of the most elite centers to ever play the game, combining strength and speed to help his team win Super Bowl LII. With talks of retirement looming over the center, some have begun talking what he could be doing next.
There’s an argument that’s becoming increasingly louder about the offensive lineman’s future. They think the elder Kelce should dip his foot into sports broadcasting.
Fans believe Jason Kelce should enter broadcasting after hanging up his cleats
Over the past couple of years, Jason Kelce has begun showing more and more of his personality. He’s begun endearing himself to the public with his straightforward nature and infectious humor.
It seems like pulling the curtains back a bit was more than enough for Philadelphia Eagles fans and the rest of the NFL to want him to pick up a microphone and speak to them in front of the camera.
Inside the Eagles’ Matt Grazel made the compelling argument:
If you’ve been paying attention, you’ve already seen that Jason Kelce can find success in broadcasting. His New Heights podcast, one he co-hosts with his brother, is the evidence.
The show has found success as it has been nominated for an iHeartRadio Podcast Award. Neither Jason or Travis will shy away from giving their opinions. ‘Quiet’ and ‘reserved’ are two words we’d avoid using to describe wither of them. That’s why they have been successful.
In addition to trying out his skills previously on the NFL Network, Kelce was previously a guest analyst on Amazon Prime Video‘s Thursday Night Football for the Carolina Panthers-Chicago Bears contest during the Eagles Week 10 bye this season. He provided some humor and gave insight into the famous Tush-Push play Philadelphia’s offense has implemented during the last two seasons.
The beloved Eagles center already has enough experience in the media and an endearing personality to match that the transition from the field to the booth shouldn’t pose that much of a problem for him. We haven’t even talked about his epic parade speech when the Eagles won their first Lombardi trophy.
If that amount of charisma doesn’t get him a job with any broadcasting network, then the world is rigged against him getting on the air.
