Nothing can top brotherly love, or at least, that’s what many believe, but for Jason Kelce, it may not always be the case. On the latest episode of the podcast “New Heights,” Jason made a surprising statement to his brother about cheering for him in the Super Bowl in the future under a unique circumstance.
“I will root for the Eagles, of course, because I will always be an Eagle first and foremost. I’ll also root for Travis to have a good game, of course, because he’s my brother. But I’ll definitely be cheering on the Eagles in this scenario.”
Jason and Travis’ Relationship is Deep, But Apparently Not THAT Deep
Jason and Travis are undoubtedly very close. They host a podcast together, do commercials together, and constantly show support for each other on and off the field. This was never more evident than during Super Bowl LVIII and the AFC Championship, where Jason was seen decked out in Chiefs gear (when he wasn’t shirtless) despite him still being part of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite the support, Jason Kelce is drawing a line in the sand by supporting his former team more than even family. Kelce played for the Eagles for his entire 13-year career and was a huge advocate for the team the entire time.
In an era where players seem to jump at any opporutnity to make more money, Jason Kelce was always loyal to the Eagles. Even when he retired, the entire time he seemed more sad about leaving the Eagles organization and his teammates than he did stepping away from the game.
Jason Kelce’s Plans Post Football
Travis Kelce still plans to play football for a few more years, but Jason Kelce is already looking for what he wants to do now that his playing days are over. With his personality and likability, he could do well in TV, whether it has to do with football or not. According to a report by the Assoicated Press, Kelce has attended different workshops to learn about TV and media in the sports industry.
Given the fact he already has a successful broadcast, he wouldn’t have a hard time transitioning to TV if that is the direction that he wants to go.
