Jason Kelce, former Philadelphia Eagles center, discussed the recently concluded 2025 Masters tournament, where golfer Rory Mcllroy managed to win beautifully, on his ‘New Heights’ podcast. On Wednesday, Kelce revealed that he actually bet that Mcllroy would win and thereby won a certain amount of money.
Rory Mcllroy won the previous Masters tournament as well, and was highly touted to be the favorite for this year as well. Mcllroy managed a stunning career Grand Slam after defeating Justin Rose in the tournament.
“I actually have money. I had money on Rory. I’m very happy about this. I am very small. I’m not a big gambler, but I did have some wagers on Rory.” Jason Kelce said to his co-host Travis Kelce on the latest episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast.
Jason Kelce has shown interest in multiple sports like golf, apart from his beloved football. Kelce played as a center for the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 seasons before retiring in 2023. Kelce also managed to win one Super Bowl ring in his NFL career.
After retiring from the game, Jason Kelce is still connected to the NFL mainly through his brother Travis Kelce. Travis Kelce plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, who came pretty close to winning a three peat. Unfortunately, the team lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
Both the brothers have since then immersed themselves in their ‘New Heights’ podcast, where they discuss everything related to the NFL, other sports and many other topics as well. In another recent episode, Jason Kelce also showed off his newborn baby daughter ‘Finn’ along with his wife Kylie Kelce, much to Travis Kelce’s delight.
Jason Kelce’s Brother, Travis Kelce, Absent From Coachella
Meanwhile, Jason Kelce’s brother, Travis Kelce, did not attend the Coachella festival, as he did last year with girlfriend Taylor Swift. The absence of the two love-birds immediately led to rumors of a break-up or tensions between them.
However, sources close to the couple say that Taylor Swift is concentrating on making last-minute tweaks to her album which will release in a couple of days. Apparently, the couple is taking time away from the spotlight to focus more on their relationship and take it slow during the NFL offseason. During the 2024 NFL season, Swift and Kelce’s relationship was much publicized, with Kelce blaming the media for his poor performance in the year.
