Jason Kelce did not like Buffalo Bills owner, Terry Pegula, using his remarks on the ‘tush push’ play in the recently concluded NFL Annual Meeting. During this year’s meeting, the ‘tush push’ play, which was popularized by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL, was discussed thoroughly, especially after the Green Bay Packers called for a ban on the particular strategy.
The ‘tush push’ play is derived from rugby, and in the NFL, the quarterback is literally pushed to the defensive end for a score by the other players in the back. The Philadelphia Eagles have become adept at the move, and the play has actually helped them win several games over the years. While many other NFL teams did try their hand at the move, they have clearly been not quite successful at it like the Eagles.
In his previous remarks about the ‘tush push’ play, Jason Kelce, who played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2011 to 2023, called the strategy ‘grueling’ and said that it was indeed difficult for a center like himself. Terry Pegula used Kelce’s words in the meeting and used the former NFL player’s to solidify his stance that the ‘tush push’ was indeed dangerous.
“I think the good gentleman from Buffalo appears to have misunderstood my meaning of the word grueling, I have never called the play dangerous. If the NFL wishes to summon me for legitimate thoughts on the tush push under oath, I’d be glad to give my testimony.” Jason Kelce tweeted through his X account.

However, Terry Pegula has not responded to Kelce’s tweet as of now. After retiring from the game after the 2023 NFL season, Kelce has been quite active on social media, discussing football and many more aspects in his podcast ‘New Heights, ’ which he hosts with his brother, Travis Kelce.

Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce, recently became parents for the fourth time to a baby girl, ‘Finn’. The proud parents showed off their newborn to uncle, Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, on an episode of their podcast ‘New Heights’.
Travis Kelce was indeed happy to see little Finn in the arms of her mom, with her dad, Jason Kelce by her side. The Kansas City tight end called ‘Finn’ a ‘muffin’ and said she looks ‘adorable’. After Jason Kelce cracked a dad joke, Travis Kelce laughed and called Finn’s father a ‘weirdo’.
