Jalen Ramsey’s recent trade to the Pittsburgh Steelers has lit the comments section of every social media post on the matter. It looks like almost everyone online is an NFL expert all of a sudden, with most football analysts condemning the move as unwise for the Steelers. The Steelers traded for cornerback Ramsey along with tight end Jonnu Smith with Minkah Fitzpatrick going away to the Miami Dolphins.
Ramsey’s trade to the Steelers definitely looks like a classic Mike Tomlin move, who is hell-bent on strengthening the team’s defense. However, the cornerback has not brought out impressive stats in the last couple of seasons, which has raised doubts about what exactly he will be contributing to the Steelers in the upcoming NFL season. Meanwhile, the Steelers’ odds on DraftKings was unchanged even after Ramsey entered their roster, leading to a reaction by hardcore Cowboys fan, Marcus Mosher.
“Steelers SB odds moved from +3500 to +3500 after the Jalen Ramsey trade,” Marcus Mosher, Dallas Cowboys insider, tweeted through his X account.
While Jalen Ramsey’s trade to the Pittsburgh Steelers might not have impressed the folks down at DraftKings, the same cannot be said about other betting sites. Both FanDuel and BetMGM both showed better odds for the Steelers in the upcoming football season.

Jalen Ramsey secured about 39 solo tackles for the Miami Dolphins in the previous football season. However, the number has definitely not impressed fans who are still trying to decide as to whether Ramsey is a worthy investment for the Steelers.
Jalen Ramsey’s Trade Called Out By Colin Cowherd
Meanwhile, Jalen Ramsey’s trade to the Pittsburgh Steelers has NFL analyst Colin Cowherd questioning head coach Mike Tomlin’s strategies. Cowherd, in a recent episode of his show, remarked that the team is definitely doing too much in terms of building their defense and are spending loads of money on this.

At the same time, it seems like the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking pretty confident in terms of their offense, especially after signing veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Steelers strategized their offense around Rodgers, even before the quarterback decided to sign with the team.

Cowherd also called out the Pittsburgh Steelers for doing so much in terms of defense to bring in Jalen Ramsey to their roster, all the while ignoring TJ Watt, who’s already part of their locker room. Watt is currently waiting for the Steelers to get back to him about his contract extension. However, the negotiations have not been gaining major ground.
