Jalen Hurts, quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, was defended by his head coach, Nick Sirianni, for trolls recently criticizing the QB’s play style. While Jalen Hurts is definitely a talented player and a superb leader for the Eagles team, his stats have not been up to the mark. Several analysts and even fans of rival teams have often found fault with Jalen Hurts as a result of this.
Jalen Hurts has also directly addressed the criticism of his play style, going on to remark that he certainly does not care about stats or numbers. The quarterback seemed confident of his play style, and will be soon seen in action at the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“We’ve been through a lot together, right? A lot of wins, some down times, but that’s what kind of forges relationships, and I don’t want anybody else leading this team at quarterback other than him. He is a winner. Again, he deals with so much criticism which just blows my mind because of the questions I have to answer. I don’t look too much into that, but the questions that I have to answer, it’s just like, man this guy wins. I mean, he’s won his entire life. If you’re winning as a quarterback, it’s more important than any stat. I’m sure it’ll be the same thing, like, ‘Oh, he’s got great players around him.’ Well, you tell me a quarterback that’s won like this that has s**t around him. It don’t happen, right? … The guys that have been so good at this position have had great players around.” Head Coach Nick Sirianni said to reporters.
Nick Sirianni says the criticism Jalen Hurts gets for having talent around him is silly
