The Philadelphia Eagles have a fresh playoff star: Saquon Barkley. After joining the team through a major free agent acquisition in the offseason, Barkley has gone beyond meeting expectations and has broken records in the process.

He now holds the NFL playoff record for the highest rushing average, with an impressive 162.0 yards per game over at least two postseason games. This achievement puts him ahead of Hall of Fame players like Terrell Davis, Marcus Allen, and John Riggins.

Saquon Barkley Surpasses Terrell Davis, Marcus Allen, and John Riggins for Rushing Yards Per Game, Fuels Eagles’ Super Bowl Hopes

Eagles running back Saquon Barkley‘s playoff dominance has driven the Eagles’ postseason success this year. His record-breaking 162.0 rushing yards per game have put the team in Super Bowl talks giving Philadelphia a ground attack unmatched in recent years.

For reference, Terrell Davis held the record at 156.0 yards per game during his memorable 1998 playoff run, which ended with a Super Bowl win for the Denver Broncos.

The stats also show Saquon Barkley outpacing NFL greats such as Marcus Allen (155.3 YPG) and John Riggins (152.5 YPG), who both went on to clinch Super Bowl victories. Barkley’s achievement puts him among the top players making fans wonder if his outstanding games can lead the Eagles to their second Super Bowl triumph in team history.

When the Eagles acquired Barkley, there were questions about how easily he would fit into the team’s offensive team. But he has managed to quiet all the skeptics with his outstanding play, emerging as a key component of an offense already led by stars such as Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown.

Barkley’s speed, power, and vision have earned him many individual awards, but more importantly, has improved the whole Eagles roster. It has been difficult for defenders to contain him, often resorting to stacking the box, making it easier for the Eagles’ passing game.

Fans Are Optimistic Barkley Will Lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl Win

Fans are going all out to support Barkley and the Eagles’ Super Bowl aspirations. His remarkable playoff performance has sparked so much excitement and hope among Philadelphia fans and analysts, with many of them convinced that the Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is the key to their championship dreams.

If Barkley maintains this level of play, there’s no question he could guide the Eagles to victory. A Super Bowl triumph would not only affirm his record-setting postseason but also solidify his status as one of the most significant signings in NFL history.
