The Ohio State Buckeyes for the fourth consecutive season will have a different starting quarterback. Julian Sayin is the front winner to win the starting job.

Ohio State are the defending national champions. If Sayin holds off Lincoln Keinholz for the starting job, there is a chance that he could be a multi-year starter for this college football program and be very effective. The Buckeyes have a quarterback competition going on right now, but can Sayin be one of the best quarterbacks in the BIG10 Conference right off the bat?
Brandon Crawford Thinks That Ohio State Buckeyes Quarterback Julian Sayin Could Be Second Best Quarterback In BIG10 Conference

Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Julian Sayin (10) hands off to running back TC Caffey (28) of the scarlet team during the second half of the LifeSports spring football game at Ohio Stadium on Saturday.
Brandon Crawford of 247sports.com rated his Top 50 college football quarterbacks entering the 2025 college football season. Crawford rated Sayin number 16 on his list. He mentioned something about the Buckeyes quarterback that is going to catch a lot of people off guard. Crawford said,
“It would not be a surprise if Julian Sayin winds up being one of the Big Ten’s top two quarterbacks this season for the Buckeyes if he can hold off Luke Kienholz during fall camp. There’s not a quarterback in the country with a more talented wideout group and from all accounts inside the program, the former five-star recruit and Alabama signee under Nick Saban is ready for a breakout campaign as a redshirt freshman.”
If Sayin is the second-best quarterback in the BIG10 Conference by the end of the 2025 college football season, it could be a little surprising. Penn State Nittany Lions quarterback Drew Allar is projected to be the top quarterback in the conference during the 2025 college football season. Allar was ranked number six by Crawford.
What will help Sayin in 2025 is that he will be throwing to stars like wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate. It is going to be interesting to see how well he will perform for the Buckeyes if he does win the starting job for the 2025 college football season. Sayin will be facing Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns in Week 1 of the 2025 college football season at Buckeyes Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
