In just five days, the first round of the college football playoffs will kick off in Columbus, Ohio, between Tennessee and Ohio State. Even though it’s a home game for the Buckeyes, it seems like there will be a lot of orange and white in the crowd.
Last week, tickets went on sale for the game, and Ohio State season ticket holders gave Tennessee fans their codes to buy tickets. From the looks of social media, it seems that many people will come from the Volunteer State.
Tennessee Fans Will Travel To Ohio State
Tennessee fans have been waiting to get back in the national title window. It’s been over twenty years since the program had any chance of winning anything meaningful, so fans will want to attend their first-ever playoff game.
Blain Crain, who co-hosts one of the best sports shows, Crain & Company, and is a great college football mind, stated on social media, “Is it just me, or does it feel like Tennessee fans are invading the state of Ohio?”

Crain would know since he hosts sports shows in Nashville, with millions of Volunteer fans.
It will be interesting to see how many Tennessee fans come to Ohio. It will be freezing, with temperatures around 20 degrees at kickoff, so Volunteer fans better find warm clothes because it will be a long night.
