The New Orleans Saints were 2-6 heading into the game against the 1-7 Carolina Panthers on the road on Sunday afternoon. This felt like a game for the Saints to get themselves back into the win column. However, Chuba Hubbard scored the game-winning 16-yard touchdown run for Carolina with less than 2:24 remaining to give the Panthers a 23-22 win over New Orleans.
The Panthers improve to 2-7 with the win and the Saints drop to 2-7 with the loss. This loss may have been the final straw with Saints fans when it comes to head coach Dennis Allen.
New Orleans Saints Fans Want Dennis Allen Fired After Latest Loss Against the Carolina Panthers
With the Saints on track to miss the playoffs for another season this year, they have had enough with Dennis Allen as the head coach of this football team. Here is what the sad New Orleans fanbase had to say after the game with the loss against the Panthers:

Ball game on the line, 4th down and you throw a deep ball…..I mean what?

And Dennis won’t be fired. The saints hate our city and hate the fan base. PATHETIC

FIRE DENNIS ALLEN!!!

The Saints may need to start all over and enter a rebuild after the 2024 season. A lot of New Orleans fans are also not happy with quarterback Derek Carr either.
Face the Atlanta Falcons Next
The Atlanta Falcons will be the next opponent for Allen and the New Orleans Saints. The Falcons are 6-3 this season and they are currently leading the NFC South division. Atlanta could very well beat the Saints easily next weekend, but anything can happen in a rivalry game.
By the end of the season, the Saints could wind up with a Top 5 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and a new head coach to replace Dennis Allen. Losing to Carolina feels like rock bottom for this franchise.
