The Indiana Hoosiers have been one of the biggest Cinderella stories in all of college football this season. Indiana dominated at home on Saturday afternoon against the Nebraska Cornhuskers by a final score of 56-7. With the win, they improved to 7-0 on the season.
Kurtis Rourke completed 81.0% of his passes for 189 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against Nebraska. He also rushed for one yard on three carries. In the game, he suffered a thumb injury in the second quarter and did not return to game action.
Indiana Hoosiers Fans Devastated Over the Kurtis Rourke Injury
The Hoosiers fanbase is devastated over the Kurtis Rourke thumb injury. He will be out indefinitely but is expected to return at some point this season. This will be the first time all season that they will face adversity. Here is what the fans had to say about the news:

Shades of Michael Penix in 2020. What a gut punch for Rourke and the Hoosiers.

It will be interesting to see how they will look without Rourke. The good news is that Indiana football is in good hands moving forward with Curt Cignetti leading the way.
Tavyen Jackson Takes Over At Quarterback
The Indiana Hoosiers will have Tayven Jackson take over as the starting quarterback in the meantime for Kurtis Rourke. Against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, he completed 87.5% of his passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson rushed for 21 yards on two carries.
It will be interesting to see how good Tavyen Jackson plays for the Hoosiers. Jackson will start next week at home against the Washington Huskies in another BIG10 Conference matchup.
