The Houston Texans are a team ascending.
After a somewhat bizarre post-bye loss at the league-worst, Carolina Panthers, the Texans have won 4 out of their last 5 games – with a last minute field goal miss at division rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars, resulting in their sole loss over this period.
Yet, after Tank Dell’s devastating injury last week, resulting in him being out for the rest of the season, the Texans are in need of some positive injury news, particularly on the offensive side of the ball, as they travel to a very stingy New York Jets defense in Week 14.
And now, Dalton Schultz, who has had a very impressive first season with the Houston Texans, after being signed as a UFA from the Dallas Cowboys, has had his injury status for this week revealed, per Adam Schefter.
Texans ruled out TE Dalton Schultz for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets.

What Does This Mean For The Houston Texans Offense in Week 14?
The Houston Texans were always going to go into their Week 14 bout at MetLife Stadium as clear favorites, with or without Schultz. However, having another key offensive weapon is important for a team that may receive limited offensive chances: the over/under line is set to 33 – which somehow was not the lowest total line this week.
And without Tank Dell, and potentially the impressive Noah Brown – the Texans could be down to their next wave of receivers. Luckily for them, this still includes their number one receiver, Nico Collins, and still-got-it veteran, Robert Woods. Even without some top players, it seems like the likely future Pro Bowl quarterback manages to make plays to pretty much anybody, so one imagines that Houston are not too worried – yet.
Some yet have this game as a scheduled surprise loss for Houston, going up against a Jets team that, at this point, have very little to play for. And realistically, I can’t imagine anyone will have this on their main screen, front and canter -save for Texans and long-suffering Jets fans.
