The Colorado Buffaloes are 6-2 this season in college football. One of the reasons why they are very good this season is because of quarterback Shedeur Sanders. They are the #23rd-ranked team in the country and they will have a chance to win the BIG12 Conference and get into the college football playoffs.

Sanders this season has completed 73.3% of his passes for 2,591 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions. There is a chance he could be a Heisman Trophy Finalist this season.

Rivals Twitter Page Thinks That Colorado Buffaloes Quarterback Shedeur Sanders Should Be In the Heisman Trophy Conversation This Season

On Tuesday on Twitter, rivals posted that the Buffaloes’ star quarterback should be in the Heisman Trophy conversation this season. It will be interesting to see if he will be one of the finalists this season or not. Most likely, his teammate Travis Hunter will be one of the finalists.

Another potential finalist this season could be Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty. Quarterback Cam Ward of the Miami Hurricanes could be a finalist over Shedeur Sanders of the Colorado Buffaloes. Ward and Sanders could very well be the first two quarterbacks taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.

    What’s his Heisman moment?

    — Why Stop Now🤷🏽‍♂️ (@Down4Mizzou) October 29, 2024

Shedeur is a top 2 qb and he not number ✌🏽 but yall not ready for that conversation.

    — Tj Betz (@itztjbetz) October 30, 2024

No he absolutely should not. He throws the ball 500 times/game. He is no where even remotely close to the best overall player in the nation. Put down the gigantic crack pipe

    — Mike Scatena (@MikeScatena) October 30, 2024

I’m not saying this to troll, or because I’m a hater but he shouldn’t be in the conversation. He’s good don’t get me wrong but I don’t think he’s heisman caliber. Still some season ahead though

    — Michael (@Michaelluther17) October 29, 2024

He takes sacks to keep his completion % high. He holds the ball too long. His team has two losses, and he has the best player in college football catching many of his passes. I can buy the argument for Hunter.

    — Augusta Bulldog “Hitch” (@TheNo1OGGolfer) October 29, 2024

There will be massive debates about the Heisman Trophy for the remainder of the 2024 college football season. Some people think that Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty may be the clear-cut winner for the Heisman this season, but he will have some competition for it.

No matter what happens with Sanders, there will be outrage for him being a finalist or not being a finalist. Shedeur Sanders is going to have to light it up over the next month if he wants to win the award.
