The Green Bay Packers are heading into the 2024 NFL season with big expectations. After making it into the playoffs and dominating the Dallas Cowboys on the road in the Wild Card round, the Packers are expected to be a potential Super Bowl contender this year.
Led by rising star quarterback Jordan Love, the Packers are going to be one of the most entertaining and intriguing teams to follow in the NFL.
Around Love, the front office has done an excellent job of adding weapons. They have a top-notch wide receiver group and two very talented and young tight ends.
One of those tight ends, Tucker Kraft, spoke out recently and sent a bold message prior to the 2024 season.
Green Bay Packers Tight End Tucker Kraft Sends Out Bold Message
He fired back against the idea that small school players aren’t as polished or ready for the NFL as those that attend big schools.
“Everyone was wrong. Anyone who tries to shove that small-school narrative, they can put it where the sun don’t shine. We’re football players. We’re playing the same game. You rise to the ability of the people around you. I was out there dominating the FCS level, but you turn the film on here, the NFL is not that hard of a game if you’re locked into your techniques and you know your offense well enough.”
As a rookie in 2023, Kraft ended up playing in 17 games. He caught 31 passes for 355 yards and two touchdowns.
The numbers aren’t huge, but he was the No. 2 tight end behind Luke Musgrave. Kraft came on strong towards the end of the year and is expected to be a very big part of the Green Bay Packers’ offense in 2024.
Standing in at 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, Kraft embodies everything that Packers’ football is supposed to be. He plays hard, is a team player, and is extremely coachable.
While he came from a small school, Kraft is a big talent. He’s ready to show even more of that in 2024.
Expect to see Kraft come out with a big role right off the bat. He developed great chemistry with Love as a rookie and that connection is expected to grow even more in his second year. The Green Bay Packers are in a great place at the tight end position with Kraft and Musgrave leading the way.
