The Green Bay Packers have certainly had an interesting couple of weeks in terms of player availability and transactions. Of course, the transaction at the forefront of everyone’s mind right now was the signing of free agent kicker Brandon McManus and release of Brayden Narveson.
Around the NFL, though, fans and analysts are still gathering thoughts and opinions on two major trades that occurred on Tuesday. First, Aaron Rodgers was reunited with his former top target on the Packers, Davante Adams, when the Las Vegas Raiders sent the three-time All-Pro to the New York Jets. Another former Packers pass catcher, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, was released by the Buffalo Bills after they acquired Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns.
All of the wide receiver movement around the NFL this week led many to wonder if the Packers might make Romeo Doubs available for trade.
The Green Bay Packers Previously Suspended Romeo Doubs

Unlike many NFL teams, the Packers have an embarrassment of riches at the wide receiver position. Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, and Dontayvion Wicks are considered three of the top four players at the position on the team, along with Doubs.
Behind them, Green Bay boasts Malik Heath and Bo Melton, each of whom could be a top four wide receiver on most other NFL teams.
The reason why Doubs has been named in trade rumors is because of the situation that resulted in him being suspended by the Packers for conduct detrimental to the team. According to Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated, Doubs was apparently unhappy with his role on the team.
After missing Green Bay’s Week Five victory over the Los Angeles Rams, Doubs returned for their Week Six win over the Arizona Cardinals. He had three receptions for 49 yards and two touchdowns in his return to the field.
The Green Bay Packers Are Not Making Romeo Doubs Available for Trade

If fans of any other NFL teams were hoping that the relationship between Doubs and the Packers had deteriorated to the point that they would want to part ways this season, they are going to be very disappointed.
According to a report by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Green Bay has informed teams that Doubs is not available for trade at this time. He wrote, ” Things appear to have settled between the Packers and Romeo Doubs, so I don’t see him as a major trade target as of now. One source said both sides ‘have moved past [the Week 5 suspension] and are focusing on football.'”
In interviews with the media last week, Doubs said that he had some stuff going on mentally, but that he was fine. He also said the situation was made into a bigger deal than it was.
