The Green Bay Packers’ Thanksgiving task just got more difficult. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, RB Aaron Jones has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the Detroit Lions. This is due to a knee injury he suffered during the Packers’ Week 11 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
What This Means
It means the Green Bay Packers will be without their starting running back. However, Jones has just 245 rushing yards in seven games this season. He dealt with a hamstring injury earlier this season that kept him out a few games as well.
This was already going to be a difficult game for the Green Bay Packers considering they are underdogs by more than a touchdown to the Detroit Lions. Detroit is 8-2 and currently leads the NFC North. As for the Packers, they are just 4-6 this season.
Green Bay is taking precautions to help navigate this. For starters, they re-signed RB James Robinson. However, he has not played at all in the 2023 season.
Betting Implications
The spread has not changed since this announcement. The Lions are still 7.5-point favorites over the Packers. The same goes for the Over/Under. It still sits at 47 points.
