The Green Bay Packers have dealt with injuries to their offense and running back Aaron Jones has suffered a brutal injury that will cost him at least the remainder of this Week 12 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
After running for two yards with a little more than three minutes remaining in the first half, Aaron Jones suffered a knee injury and was forced to be helped off the field and carted off with a towel over his head.

This game already had a tough injury as linebacker Joey Bosa was also carted off with an injury earlier in the game. Aaron Jones has been a decent running back this season and has been hampered by injuries as he has 62 rushing attempts for 231 yards (3.7 yards per carry) with two rushing touchdowns.
What does Aaron Jones’ injury mean for the Green Bay Packers going forward?
The Green Bay Packers are 3-6 entering this game against the Los Angeles Chargers and need to be focusing on seeing improvement from their younger players to make an assessment for 2024. There are some good players on this team but the Packers do need to find some consistency going forward.
This gives some chances for other running backs but severely weakens the offense for the Green Bay Packers, which already ranked 21st in the National Football League with 19.9 points per game scored. This is going to put more pressure on quarterback Jordan Love and the rest of the offense as a whole for a team only running for 102.1 rushing yards per game.
The early injury doctors on social media are declaring Aaron Jones’ season to be over but nothing official has come out. This would be a brutal injury for both sides as the Packers owe him a base salary of $11.1 million next season but also lose one of the best and most experienced offensive skill position players for a young team going forward. If the injury were to cost Aaron Jones his season, he would be expected to make a full recovery in time for the 2024 season but things are never good when players are forced to miss games.
Green Bay is going to need to play spoiler for the remainder of the season and hope next season shows improvement.
