Georgia football has not lost back-to-back regular season games since 2016. This weekend, the Georgia Bulldogs lost their first regular season game against a non-Alabama Crimson Tide team since 2020, falling on the road against the Ole Miss Rebels, 28-10. In the defeat, Georgia tallied just 245 yards of offense while losing two fumbles and throwing a pick. Before the ranked SEC tilt, the Bulldogs opened as an 8.5-point favorite against the Tennessee Volunteers this upcoming Saturday. Following UGA’s loss and Tennessee’s 33-14 rout of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, the betting line has moved in favor of Georgia.
With the Volunteers nursing ailing quarterback Nico Iamaleava and Georgia football not suffering back-to-back regular season losses in over eight seasons, the Vegas sportsbooks have bumped the odds to double-digits. Nevertheless, Georgia fans are split on the move, with many questioning the validity of their offense. In contrast, others are certain the SEC power cannot lose consecutive regular-season tilts.
Georgia Football Becomes Double-Digit Favorite Against Tennessee
According to On3:Georgia moved from an 8.5-point favorite to 10.5 for Saturday’s game vs. Tennessee, per @FDSportsbook.
Who you got?
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Georgia football program will be a double-digit favorite at home against the Tennessee Volunteers, barring a significant line change. UT star quarterback Nico Iamaleava left his team’s win against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday with an upper-body injury. He finished the outing 8-of-13 for 174 tards and two touchdowns. During the season, he has thrown 11 touchdowns against four picks while completing 65% of his passes. However, initial reports indicated he would be available for their upcoming contest against Georgia. Meanwhile, Backup passer Gaston Moore has tossed two touchdowns against two picks this season.
Conversely, Georgia football has experienced a massive setback with their offense behind quarterback Carson Beck. Across his past six games, Beck has thrown 12 interceptions to only ten touchdowns. Georgia is an uncharacteristic 4-2 during that span. Yet, despite the struggles that continued on Saturday, Vegas is unfazed, bumping the Bulldogs from an 8.5-point favorite to 10.5 points. UGA fans remain divided with the move, responding accordingly via social media:
Hows that possible? GA lost and Tenn is better.

Hopefully Kirby put Beck on a short leash. I don’t care if they put in a high school senior. No way it’s worse.

If Georgia doesn't have any offense, how can I be a 8 and a 1/2 point favorite? Offense needs to score before the defense can be elite
