Carson Beck is Not an NFL QB’: Georgia Football Fans Irate with Signal-Caller Following Brutal 28-10 Loss

For the first time since 2020, the Georgia football program has lost to a non-Alabama Crimson Tide team. Since losing to the top-ranked Florida Gators midway through the 2020 COVID-19-impacted season, the Georgia Bulldogs were 53-0 against teams not donning the Crimson and White of Alabama. However, all streaks must come to an end. On Saturday, the third-ranked Bulldogs went on the road to Oxford, Mississippi, losing to the Ole Miss Rebels for just the second time since 1996. Last season, Georgia beat Ole Miss 52-17.

Late in the game and trailing 22-10, Georgia football signal-caller Carson Beck threw a backbreaking interception, with Ole Miss answering with a ten-play, 67-yard drive ending in a field goal. More importantly, Ole Miss burnt four minutes of the game clock. Interceptions have become a constant theme for Beck, with the signal-caller throwing 12 interceptions in his six games. He threw only six interceptions last season. With Georgia’s brutal offensive showing on Saturday and Beck throwing another untimely interception, fans did not hold back when bashing the passer via social media.

According to @Fox5Atlanta Sports Reporter & Anchor Miles Garrett:

Carson Beck with his 12th INT of the season. It might’ve been the one that broke the camel’s back in this one.

Following a 24-touchdown, six-interception season where he led the SEC in passing yards (3,941), Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck earned consideration for the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Beck, a former four-star prospect who led Georgia to a 13-1 record last season, started the year strong before tossing three interceptions in a loss against Alabama earlier in the year. Since then, Beck has thrown multiple interceptions in three of his next four games. On Sunday against Ole Miss, Beck went 19-of-30 for 169 yards, no touchdowns, a pick, and two fumbles (one lost).

Georgia football will move to 7-2 in the season and likely fall out of the top five regarding the College Football Playoff standings. However, they likely control their destiny with no undefeated teams left in the SEC and the CFP expanding to 12 teams. They will host the red-hot Tennessee Volunteers next Saturday before back-to-back home games against UMass and Georgia Tech. Yet, UGA football fans are at wit’s end with Beck, putting him on blast on social media following their rare loss at Ole Miss:
