“Playing For the Money, Not the Logo” – #3 Georgia Bulldogs Fans Irked By QB Smiling During Brutal Loss

The Georgia Bulldogs loss to the Ole Miss Rebels certainly stung, but the Bulldogs fans were truly upset with something else.

Quarterback Carson Beck was seen on the sideline as time expired speaking with a teammate and smiling while doing so. While smiling is not criminal, during a crucial loss and a bad performance for the quarterback in particular doing so is odd. The coverage of the game had a camera that happened to be on the face of Beck while he was smiling and laughing with his teammate on the bench.

Against the Rebels, Beck had 186 yards passing and an interception along with a game-sealing lost fumble. Beck fumbled the ball twice and was sacked five times, which highlighted his limited mobility in the pocket as well as his awareness. The quarterback had arguably his worst performance of the season for the Bulldogs and ultimately was part of the reason why the offense stalled.

While Beck has received plenty of NFL attention, the quarterback has been on a downward trend over the past four games. Beck recorded two interceptions to begin the season, but has recorded nine over the last four games. During that time, the quarterback has also thrown for five touchdowns and has been sacked eight times.

The quarterback has recorded 2302-yards passing, 17 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions for the Bulldogs this season.

Georgia Bulldogs Fans Tear into Carson Beck Following Sideline Smile During Loss

With the recent play of Beck in mind, Georgia Bulldogs fans have begun to point the finger and many believe the quarterback no longer is playing to win.

This loss was not on Carson Beck whatsoever. He for the most part (aside from the 3 late fumbles) played well. However, sitting there on the sideline with that smug ass smile on your face is going to irk every real fan in this fanbase. Boy playing for the money and not the logo
