The Georgia Bulldogs have had an interesting offseason with the transfer portal. They have lost a lot of players to the portal and on Christmas Day, another talented young receiver, De’Nylon Morrissette, announced he was leaving the program.

Georgia Bulldogs Lose WR De’Nylon Morrissette To Transfer Portal
Morrissette becomes the 19th Bulldog to enter the transfer portal. He didn’t see the field at all and is likely leaving to secure himself more playing time. Morrissette had this to say in a statement.
“First I would like to Thank God for making everything Possible and for Life.
I would like to Thank Coach Kirby Smart and the entire UGA Organization, especially the awesome fanbase, my coaches and Brothers. I’m very proud to be apart of a culture of excellence and pride. I cherish the moments at UGA, but talking with my family at this time I would like to announce I will be entering the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility remaining. I’m grateful for my time here, the support, and love.”
Concern For Georgia?
Losing 19 players isn’t great especially because a lot of them were supposed to be the future at a certain position. However, Kirby Smart showed last week that he is still one of the top recruiters in all of college football. There is plenty of talent that is coming into the program and a lot of the losses aren’t a huge deal for the program. This is the new era of college football and player movement, especially among top-tier recruits, will likely continue to rise.
Can the Georgia Bulldogs bounce back in 2024? They will be hungry to recapture the SEC and get back to the College Football Playoff.
