Gavin Newsom, Governor of California, has been getting plenty of flak online after he announced that he is suing the US President Donald Trump’s administration. Newsom and Trump have been involved in a heated exchange for some time now, especially after the LA protests.
The protests have been against ICE and Trump’s recent bills on the deportation of undocumented immigrants. Despite the protests being mostly peaceful, they escalated in tension after the National Guard was deployed on the sitting POTUS’s orders. Newsom remarked in his tweet on X that the attacks on the protesters were totally unnecessary and a breach of democracy. However, his announcement was not liked by retired NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, who made a ghastly comment.
“NEW: We are suing Donald Trump.
“This is a manufactured crisis. He is creating fear and terror to take over a state militia and violate the U.S. constitution. The illegal order he signed could allow him to send the military into ANY STATE HE WISHES. Every governor — red or blue — should reject this outrageous overreach. There’s a lot of hyperbole out there. This isn’t that. This is an unmistakable step toward authoritarianism that threatens the foundation of our republic. We cannot let it stand.” Gavin Newsom tweeted through his X account.
“I had sex wit ur wife Gavin…,” Antonio Brown commented on the Governor of California’s tweet.
Antonio Brown is well-known for his controversial tweets. And so, not many took his comment on Gavin Newsom’s tweet seriously. However, it was still not liked by many social media users who condemned and trolled him for being so despicable against a politician’s spouse.
Gavin Newsom Denies Getting Phone Call From President Donald Trump
Gavin Newsome was apparently given a phone call by US President Donald Trump when reporters asked the sitting POTUS if he had spoken to the California Governor. However, according to Newsome, he didn’t get any form of communique from the president, not even a voicemail.
“There was no call. Not even a voicemail. Americans should be alarmed that a President deploying Marines onto our streets doesn’t even know who he’s talking to.” Gavin Newsome replied to a post mentioning US President Donald Trump’s phone call with him.
The protests in Los Angeles are going on for the sixth day as more and more people take to the streets to voice their frustration against Trump’s policies on illegal immigrants and deportation. Many anti-Trump and anti-MAGA are joining the protests to show their dislike for the current government.
