“It’s Not Even Close”: Football Fans Claim College Football Is Better Than the NFL After Sunday’s NFL Games

College football changed its playoff structure this season when it went from four teams to 12 teams. The only complaints from the fans about that was which should have been in and which ones shouldn’t, along with complaining about too many blowouts.

However, people would probably rather that than what is occurring in the NFL with the bad officiating. Once an NFL game was decided in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs against the Buffalo Bills because of bad calls. A lot of football fans are sick of Patrick Mahomes getting the benefit of the doubt every single time.

There are fans on Twitter who think college football is better than the NFL. There is no doubt that they are correct in this statement. Here is what they said on Twitter about it:

College football is so much better than the NFL. It’s not even close.

    — Dailey Joy (@daileyjoyf) January 27, 2025

I don’t know why people watch the nfl, college football is light years better in every single way.

    — KRYPTO𝕩IC (@itzKryptoxic) January 27, 2025

Reason #776 why college football is a million times better than the nfl.

    — Hawks by a Million (@asbraner) January 27, 2025

College football is and always will be better than the NFL.

When I was growing up, watching the NFL had this special feeling that I can’t describe. The novelty is gone.

    The league isn’t fun anymore.

    — Kyle Cannillo (@KyleCannillo) January 27, 2025

The @NFL is a rigged, fake sport.
No parity. Predictable championship matchups. Rigged officiating.

    College Football is way better.

    — Justin Schra〽️ (@JustinSchramMI) January 27, 2025

There was so much unpredictability in college football this postseason. A lot of people were shocked that the Ohio State Buckeyes won the National Title after they lost to the Michigan Wolverines in the regular season. This is why college football was fun this year with the expanded postseason and the Buckeyes haven’t won it all since 2014.

Also, there is no shock anymore when the Kansas City Chiefs get all of the calls that benefit them. When they were losing 22-21 to the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen yesterday, the Bills clearly picked up the first down, but the refs thought otherwise. The CBS booth disagreed with the refs on the field.

There is actually competition on the collegiate level. The NFL has turned into another version of the WWE.

    Competitive Balance In College Football

Is it quite possible that the days of winning back-to-back titles in college football might be over. The Georgia Bulldogs did it in 2021 and in 2022. With the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes winning it over the last two years, it appears as if there is a new changing of the guarding in college football and many want to see something different in the NFL also.

In college football next year, Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, Georgia, and others have a great chance to win it all next year. College football is in a great spot compared to the NFL.
