On Thursday, the Florida State football faithful received heartwarming news about their former Heisman-caliber quarterback. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared a video of longtime Seminoles gunslinger Jordan Travis, who suffered a gruesome season-ending leg injury late in the 2023 season, working out ahead of next April’s NFL draft.
Travis is seen pulling a sled in an indoor gym while wearing no braces or sleeves on his surgically repaired leg. According to NFL Draft Buzz, the mobile pocket passer is rated as a fifth-round draft pick.
Former Florida State Football QB Jordan Travis: Making Huge Strides in Knee Recovery
A video surfaced on Thursday of former Seminoles gunslinger Jordan Travis working out ahead of the 2024 NFL draft. Travis suffered a brutal left leg injury against North Alabama last November, leaving the game in an air cast. He finished the season with 2,734 yards and 20 touchdowns against two picks. He also rushed for seven scores. Despite Travis, and later quarterbacks Glenn Brock and Tate Rodemaker, leading FSU to an undefeated regular season and a win in the ACC Championship, the College Football Playoff committee left the team out of the four-team postseason field mainly due to the injury to their star signal-caller.

Travis started with the Louisville Cardinals in 2018 but transferred to Florida State in 2019. He sat behind James Blackman during his inaugural season with the Seminoles before splitting time in 2020. The six-foot-one passer threw for 16 touchdowns against six picks in 2021 before taking off in 2022. He threw for 3,214 yards and 24 touchdowns against five picks while leading Florida State football to a win over Oklahoma in the Cheez-It-Bowl. Travis returned to Tallahassee in 2023, posting Heisman numbers before his untimely injury.
Florida State Football: Quarterback Room for 2024 Season
With Jordan Travis leaving the program, the Florida State Seminoles will likely turn to Oregon State transfer and former five-star recruit DJ Uiagalelei while also rostering Brock Glenn. Uiagalelei threw for 2,6388 yards and 21 touchdowns against seven picks with the Oregon State Beavers in 2023. Before playing for Oregon State, he spent three years with the Clemson Tigers. He registered 22 passing touchdowns and seven picks during his final year with Clemson. Meanwhile, Glenn will return after making two starts for FSU last season. However, he struggled, throwing two picks with no touchdowns while completing less than 40% of his passes.
