Florida State football had a season to forget in 2024. FSU went 2-10, losing their final seven games against FBS foes, marking their worst win percentage in a season since 1974. This year marks a significant step backward for the ACC school, a year after going undefeated in the regular season, highlighted by a conference title victory against Louisville. However, it has been tough sledding since the College Football Playoff committee opted to oust Florida State from the then four-team postseason field, albeit being an undefeated Power Five conference winner.
On Tuesday, the ACC, the conference in which Florida State football competes, posted on Twitter (also known as X), lobbying for SMU, Miami, and or Clemson to earn a berth in the new 12-team College Football Playoff. Meanwhile, FSU fans took exception with the conference’s official Twitter handle after the organization did little to promote the Seminoles last season as they became the first-ever undefeated Power Five school to miss the CFP.
Florida State Football Fans Clown the ACC
According to the official ACC Football account on Twitter:
PUT ‘EM IN The ACC is a multi-bid league. Period
Ahead of the College Football Playoff committee’s updated rankings on Tuesday, the ACC football Twitter account went to bat for three top teams in the conference. Most notably, the foundation’s official Twitter account shared a graphic reading “Earned An In” regarding the Miami Hurricanes despite their upset loss against Syracuse last weekend. The ACC is lobbying for three teams despite the likelihood that only the conference champion earns a bid.
However, despite their horrific showing this season, Florida State football fans took aim at the ACC for their CFP-inspired tweet. Last season, Florida State went 13-0, winning their conference championship game, but found themselves on the outside looking in regarding the CFP. The committee included a one-loss Alabama team over FSU, making the Seminoles the first undefeated Power Five conference winner not to make CFP. Florida State football fans believe the ACC did not push for their inclusion last year, which did not happen based on a season-ending injury suffered from superstar quarterback Jordan Travis:

Yall didn’t utter a single word last year for FSU.
I hope none of them make it. This conference is a joke.

Where was this energy for Florida State last year? Yeah, no there is no multiple bids for the ACC. The ACC Champion is going. The others are going bowling. You can bury your head in the sand all you want, but the SOS, SOR, and quality wins are not there vs. SEC teams fighting for…

You didn't do this crap for FSU. Y'all stink.
