Flag football is bound for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. The International Olympic Committee approved the addition of the sport for the second to next round of Olympic games, giving one of America’s most popular sports a worldwide stage. Although the Olympics won’t feature conventional football played with pads and helmets, a less violent option, like flag football, still allows the sport to attract new fans.
However, with the lack of football played around the country, many fans believe the Americans, backed by their best NFL athletes, will dominate the competition. Some fans are so confident that they have taken to X (formerly known as Twitter) to make light of the situation. Here are some of the best tweets regarding the 2028 Summer Olympics and the USA sending their best NFL athletes to compete.

NFL’s Best to Join USA Flag Football Team
The idea of someone from Austria who works a 9-to-5 trying to lockdown an elite talent like Justin Jefferson sends chills down my spine. Additionally, if the USA can land an elite arm talent like Josh Allen, opposing teams, especially those with limited football exposure, might be in awe at how far some of these guys can throw a football.

The USA will be the Heavy Favorite in Flag Football
The idea of some of the NFL’s best skill players facing off against the rest of the world, where football is not king, has some fans worried about the lack of competition. However, some of the league’s most talented wide receivers might have a short fuse if they don’t easily dominate the competition.
Ghetto Gronk on Twitter illustrates that idea perfectly, sharing a video of Houston Texans great Andre Johnson getting in a fight with Tennessee Titans corner Cortland Finnegan and suggesting Seattle’s D.K. Metcalf could let it loose if he struggles.
