Jalen Reagor has been traded by the Philadelphia Eagles to the Minnesota Vikings. Not even 24 hours after Reagor made the initial 53 man roster he is no longer on the team. It what turned out to be a very disappointing career as a member of the Eagles, Reagor will try and find his place in the NFL on the Minnesota Vikings.
Trade: Eagles are sending WR Jalen Reagor to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2023 7th-round pick and a 2024 conditional 4th-round pick that would deescalate to a 5th-round pick if certain statistical marks are not met, sources tell ESPN.

The trade is interesting for a various of reasons. Just yesterday, GM Howie Roseman and Head Coach Nick Sirianni both explained to the media that they felt Reagor earned himself a spot on the Eagles. We now have learned that is not the case.
Minnesota now has the 21st and 22nd overall picks on their roster from the 2020 draft. Many Eagles fans voiced their displeasure that the Eagles drafted Reagor over Justin Jefferson at the time. The Eagles fans in this case turned out to be 100% correct.
Jefferson has already been named a first team All-Pro, set the recored for most receiving yards for a player in their first two seasons and is already widely considered by many to be a top five WR in the NFL.
Reagor on the other hand has not been as quite as successful. In two years Reagor has posted 695 receiving yards and just three touchdowns. Reagor also has more total fumbles with four than touchdowns scored. Not great production from any draft pick let alone the 21st overall pick of the draft.
Reagor will a chance to prove the Eagles wrong as the Vikings head to play the Eagles in week two on Monday Night football. A rematch of the 2018 NFC Championship just got a whole lot more interesting.
You have to give credit to Howie Roseman once again as he has traded a disappointing draft pick and flipped the player for more draft capital in the future.
The Eagles will now head into the 2022 season with four WR’s on the 53 man roster. AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Zach Pascal and Quez Watkins. Look for Roseman to add to the WR room before the season kicks-off in 12 days. Wether that be a waiver claim, a trade, or someone from their own practice squad I find it hard to believe the Eagles start the season with only four WR’s on the active roster.
Philadelphia opens their season on September, 11 in Detroit against the Lions.
