Drew Lock has come back to the Seattle Seahawks after spending the previous NFL season with the New York Giants. On Tuesday, Lock signed a two-year deal with the Seahawks for $5 million, according to a report by ESPN, and his wife, Natalie Lock, could not be happier.
The 28-year-old quarterback started off his NFL career with the Denver Bronco,s who selected him as the 42nd pick in the second round of the 2019 draft. After playing for the Broncos until 2021, Lock joined the Seattle Seahawks in 2022 and played for one season before going to the Giants. In his college basketball career, Lock played for the Missouri Tigers from 2015 to 2018.
“What a dream! You amaze me everyday – I’m so proud of you!!! @drewlock23. We’re coming home!!!!” Natalie Lock captioned her Instagram post, celebrating her husband’s return to the Seattle Seahawks.
With Drew Lock’s return to their fold, the Seattle Seahawks will be hoping to do better in the 2025 NFL season. Last year, the team finished second in the NFC West after winning ten games and losing seven. Seattle played the last game of their season against the Los Angeles Rams and won 30-25. But, the win was too late for the team to make it to the playoffs.

Drew Lock’s Return To Seattle Seahawks Won’t Stop The Team From QB Shopping
Drew Lock’s new deal with the Seattle Seahawks immediately sparked rumors that the team was certainly done looking for another quarterback option in the upcoming draft. However, according to recent reports, the Seahawks will still keep their options open in the 2025 NFL draft and will hope to bring in more QBs.

Currently, the Seattle Seahawks will bank on Drew Lock as well as Sam Darnold in terms of their offense in the upcoming season. In his last season for the New York Giants, QB Lock managed a total of 1,071 yards, scoring six touchdowns while managing five interceptions. Meanwhile, Sam Darnold threw for 4,319 yards for the Seahawks last year, scoring 35 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.

In the 2025 NFL draft, the Seattle Seahawks own ten total picks, which will start off with the 18th pick in the first round. According to mock drafts, the team will be eager to improve their defense, while also perhaps bringing in a mid-round quarterback. The team will therefore be shopping for performing wide receivers in the upcoming draft, to try and improve their record in the next season.
