Drew Brees, former NFL quarterback, discussed the possibility of the Philadelphia Eagles winning in the upcoming Super Bowl. The Philadelphia Eagles met the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2023 Super Bowl and lost the game. On Sunday, history will repeat itself with the two rivals clashing once more.
In Thursday’s episode of the Pat McAfee Show, Brees commented that the Eagles had a lot more to lose than the Chiefs if they did indeed lose the Super Bowl. Brees went on to mention that it was most likely the more desperate team which would win the game, meaning the Eagles.
“What if the Eagles lose this? Two out of three years, they’ve come to the Super Bowl, and they’ve lost. ‘How are we ever going to get past the Chiefs?’ If you said, ‘Who has the most to lose,’ I think it’s the Philadelphia Eagles. In that conversation of the most desperate team usually wins, so who’s the most desperate team?” Drew Brees said on the Pat McAfee Show.

Furthermore, Brees commented on running back Saquon Barkley, and the importance that he brings to the Philadelphia Eagles. In the 2024 NFL season, Barkley managed to contribute 345 carries, for a total of 2,005 yards, scoring 13 crucial touchdowns for the team.
Drew Brees Might Return To Broadcasting Soon
In other news, Drew Brees said in an interview with CNBC on Radio Row that he would definitely be interested in making a return to broadcasting soon enough. While discussing the same, Breese went on to mention that the experience of having played as a quarterback gives him an additional insight into the game.
“I love broadcast because there’s an insight that comes with playing the position, the quarterback position, for 20 years that you have that nobody else has. I feel like we’re extremely well equipped to be able to talk about and communicate exactly what’s happened on the field and why. So look, I would, with the right opportunity, I’d love to.” Drew Brees said in a CNBC Sport interview on Radio Row.
Brees was immediately asked if he had actually spoken to media executives about his interest in returning to broadcasting. While the 46-year-old former quarterback didn’t exactly give a solid response, he replied with a soft, “Maybe”, signifying a strong possibility that fans might hear his voice once more in sports broadcasting.
